Where we stayed

Just outside of Savannah is the Coastal Empire Beer Company.

We stayed in the back parking lot of the brewery. This location is in an industrial park, and the parking is behind the building. Given the environment, it was very quiet, and homey.

The night we were there, there was a meeting of all local breweries taking place. If we weren't so tired, we'd have certainly sat in on their meeting to learn more about the business of brewing.

As cool as chilling with brewers was, the highlight of this location is the Def Burger food truck.

Def Burger was great

The highlight of this location was the local food truck, Def Burger.

What makes Def Burger such a hit among locals is the great value for a solid meal. Especially considering it's just a food truck.

What we loved so much about Def Burger was the owner. Anna is the epitome of the American Dream.

Born in Russia, she was adopted into an American family as a child.
